The Phoenix Art Museum isn't for your grandparents anymore. In fact, there are some of the absolute best exhibits out right now, including the Yayoi Kusama You are getting obliterated in the dancing swarm of fireflies along with the Carlos Amorales exhibit Black
Cloud which are neck and neck for the most Instagrammed spots in
Phoenix to date. Don't just take my word for it, go see it yourself and
have your mind blown by the sheer enormity these two exhibits bring.
Even better news? From 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday it is FREE to the
public.
Don't forget your Cannon and an extra charger for your phone, you'll be busy snapping all night long.
Road Runner Farmers Market
Where: 3502 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032
You don't have to buy anything to enjoy the Road Runner Farmer's market in Phoenix,
but you will be encouraged to taste, smell and enjoy all of the
delicious items each vendor has sprawled out like a rainbow of
temptation. Bring your pooch, hang out in the shade and talk with fellow
crunchy Phoenicians about their local favorites. Look away from the
sweet, raw, locally sourced, and ethically harvested honey until payday!
Live Music at Desert Ridge Marketplace
Where: 21001 N Tatum Blvd, Phoenix, 85050
Desert Ridge hosts live music most Friday and Saturday nights.
This is one of the best free spots to bring a date and listen to tunes
under the stars. If you feel like adding some à la carte items to your
date, grab a margarita and new age Mexican food at Modern Margarita and
enjoy people watching until the wee hours.
The Desert Botanical Garden

Biltmore Fashion Park

Who said you need a fat wallet or a sugar daddy to enjoy a day of shopping?
For a good time, dress in your finest threads, head down to Biltmore
Fashion Center and enjoy some window shopping at some of the most
upscale shops you can find in the valley of the sun. When you get bored,
simply find the nearest shaded bench and picture your life of glamor
and glitz under the open skyline the mall provides.
Her Secret is Patience
Where: 444 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004
This Phoenix art installation
was originally adapted from the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote, "Adopt the
pace of nature; her secret is patience," and is elegantly displayed in
the Phoenix Civic Space Park. The installation was designed by Janet
Echelman and took a massive team of architects, designers, engineers,
and fabricators to create the masterpiece that stands today.
Take a Hike

Camelback Mountain is an iconic hiking spot thousands of Phoenicians enjoy on the daily,
because when you have year-round sunny skies, why not? Camelback
Mountain is easy to get to, just make sure you keep a watchful eye for
no tow zones, in neighborhoods. Designated parking is right off the
street and near the closest trailhead. Camelback has a range of peaks
and valleys appropriate for intermediate to expert hikers. Bring lots of
water and enjoy some selfie worthy shots from the top.
Roosevelt Row or Bust

Feeling artsy? Head down to Roosevelt Row Art District
and browse the local shops, check out the entertainment and enjoy the
perfect moment for a selfie at interactive and wall art beautifully
littered throughout the district. The theme of Roosevelt Row is walkable
art, and you'll find a lot of it here!
There are frequent Pride parades,
live music shows, and street entertainment. Although, you might just
have as much fun sitting and enjoying the colorful ambiance the area
