Experience the magic.
Get ready for another year of dazzling lights and holiday cheer — Niagara Falls' award-winning Winter Festival of Lights is officially set to return this year, and it's going to be the most epic one yet.
Presented by Ontario Power Generation, the
Winter Festival of Lights is Canada's largest illumination festival
that takes you on an 8-km journey through a beautifully-decorated
Niagara Falls. As many as 1.5 million people attend the festival every
year and it's become an annual tradition for many Canadians across the
country.
The installations, which combined consist of over 2 million lights, will be set up in the Niagara Parks, the Dufferin Islands and in some of the common tourist areas.
Giant displays including the iconic Zimmerman Fountain,
15 Canadian Wildlife displays, the world's largest Canadian-American
flag, Noah's Ark, and over 50 colourful trees will make an appearance at
the festival this year.
To make the experience even more magical,
there will be several events taking place at the Falls during the
festival. Guests can attend the opening ceremony at Queen Victoria Park,
view the Falls' nightly Illumination, watch free laser light shows and
fireworks by Fallsview Casino, go on a Deck the Falls Holiday Walking
Tour, and much more.
It's perhaps the one time of year when you might not mind a little bit of snow to fall.
